How long does MAC makeup last? When does it expire?
Lipsticks: 24 months unopened, 18 months once opened. Foundations: 12 months once opened. Mascara and liquid liner: 3-6 months once opened (replace sooner — eye products grow bacteria fastest). Powders, eyeshadows and Mineralize Skinfinish: 24 months once opened. Every MAC box has a small open-jar symbol with a number ("12M", "24M") indicating shelf life after first opening. What if my shade is sold out at every Bali counter?
We check all four Bali counters first, then MAP retail, then Sephora Indonesia online. If the Black/Silver is genuinely unavailable, we suggest the closest alternative — same product in an adjacent shade, or a related Brush that gives a similar finish. We send you photos and arm-swatch shots before any switch. For very limited shades or discontinued items, we can also order from MAC Singapore or MAC Australia and ship to Bali, but allow 5-7 days.
Can I return or exchange if the shade is wrong?
MAC counter policy in Indonesia is exchange within 7-14 days for an unopened product, with the original receipt — we coordinate the swap. For opened products, MAC counters in Bali generally do not accept returns (hygiene rule on lipstick and foundation). The fix: send us a daylight selfie before purchase, we colour-match together on WhatsApp, and we arm-swatch the shade for you with a photo before we hand it to the till.
